From Regina Wandler, Americorps Volunteer Coordinator:
Skagit Land Trust is looking for some volunteers who know their native plants! We are collecting information on vegetation at several of our beautiful, protected sites in Skagit County, from the agricultural flats up into the forested North Cascades. If you’d like to get outside in beautiful areas, practice your plant ID skills, and meet others interested in native plants and conservation, contact Regina at email@example.com.
We’d love to have you even if you only have one day free – although you’ll enjoy the area so much, you’ll probably want to head out again! Dates of monitoring trips will be between June 9th and June 25th. Please respond with your availability, areas of interest and a short description of your skills!
*It may be possible to carpool to Mount Vernon, and carpooling from Mount Vernon to the properties will be available.*
We have other volunteer opportunities on our website at http://www.skagitlandtrust.org/events.aspx#gi
