We invite you to:
Attend the hottest environmental events with Franziska Mccay, our Community Educator
Engage the public in discussions of the health of Puget Sound.
Spread the word about the good work being done by People For Puget Sound to solve the complex environmental issues confronting our area.

Work alongside experts
Before being sent out with staff members, you will be given a thorough introduction to Puget Sound issues.  In these training sessions you will learn about:
·     People For Puget Sound shoreline restoration work
·     Local political issues
·     The science behind the declining health of the sound
·     Grassroots lobbying and environmental activism
Once trained, your primary goal will be to engage the public to become People For Puget Sound volunteers, members and activists.

Join the Outreach Posse
In addition to the duties listed above, you may also:
·     Manage educational games and tools
·     Schlep gear to and from events
·     Help with event follow up in our downtown Seattle office

Availability: People For Puget Sound is seeking 12 volunteers who are willing to make commitment to work at 3 outreach events for 2 hours shifts.  Hours are flexible.

Location: This position will be based wherever we host People For Puget Sound events.

Benefits:  This is an unpaid position.
You will become familiar with current environmental issues in Puget Sound. You will gain excellent experience working with our professional staff.  You will also earn references for future employment, school credit where applicable and reimbursement for approved expenses relating to work.
