Alaska Salmon Program 2010 Science Symposium
Friday, December 10, 2010, 2:00 ~ 5:30 pm
102 Fishery Sciences (auditorium), 1122 NE Boat St.
This annual symposium showcases the research of the UW School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences’ Alaska Salmon Program undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and visiting scientists. Our program focuses on all aspects of the ecology of Pacific salmon in the North Pacific, Bering Sea, and watersheds of Southwest Alaska. Participants will give brief talks sharing their research in both basic and applied ecology, as well as the biological and socioeconomic management of Alaskan fisheries. For a symposium schedule, which should be posted by Dec 6, and general program information please see http://fish.washington.edu/research/alaska/.
There will be presentations by undergraduate students who participated in our Alaska course this summer (course is run during summers of even years), so students interested in taking this course in summer 2012 should attend!
