There are three upcoming Bachelors of Landscape Architecture (BLA) Information Meetings:

2)  Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 11:00-11:50, Gould 440.

3)  Thursday, January 6, 2011, 12:30-1:20, Gould 440.

This is a competitive application program.  Applications are due February 15th, for the following Autumn.  There are two prerequisite courses, to apply, LARC 300 Intro. to Landscape Architecture Studio and at least one LARC History course (LARC 352, 353, 450, 452 and some 498s).  It is also suggested you take a drawing course (ART 190, ARCH 210, etc.).

Come to the BLA Information Meeting to learn more from Prof. Julie Johnson, Undergraduate Program Coordinator and JoAnne Edwards, Adviser/Program Coordinator.  There will be portfolio samples there to look at and you benefit from each other’s questions.

If you are interested in applying to the Masters in Landscape Architecture

(MLA) Program (applications due January 15th of each year), you are welcome to also come to the BLA Information Meetings (we’ll answer MLA questions) and/or the MLA Open House, Friday, December 3, 2010, 11:00-5:00.  See schedule on Dept. website soon.

We encourage interested students to come watch End of Quarter Reviews, which are held in Gould Court and an adjoining room, the tenth week of each quarter.

This Autumn Quarter, they will be held in the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 8th, 2010 and Friday, Dec. 10th, 2010.  Come watch the students present their final projects and hear the professionals critique their work.  It is a learning experience for all.

There is a LARC Minor available.  Come to 348 Gould Hall, and speak with JoAnne Edwards, if you would like to declare a Landscape Architecture Minor.
