Minority Association of Pre-Health Students Conference


University of Washington MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-health
Students) is holding its 9th Annual Pre-health Conference on
*Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 10am-4:30pm at the UW South Campus
Center. *

The day will consist of:

*professional student panels (medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy)

*hands-on workshops about vital signs, dentistry, suturing,
prescription writing, and prosthetics/orthotics, and EMT/EMS services.

*informational workshops about osteopathic medicine, public health,
PT/OT, alternative medicine, global health, personal statement
writing, internships, undergraduate research, & test-taking strategies

*prominent key note speakers from various healthcare fields

*health resource fair where you can meet and network with various
health professional schools, as well as UW organizations, programs,
and departments

*silent auctions for a Princeton MCAT, and DAT prep course.

*various raffles (like free prep materials, plus other goodies!)

*breakfast and lunch are provided!

The cost of attendance is $10 for MAPS members, $13 for non-members.
