Spring Internship in BC – Marine Ecology

Clayoquot Sound Salmon Ecosystem Project Wild Fish Conservancy (WFC) is conducting primary research on wild salmon declines in the pristine watersheds of Clayoquot Sound (West Vancouver Island, BC). We are currently assessing sea lice infestation in early ocean stage chum and chinook salmon in inlets with, and without salmon aquaculture facilities. Pre-requisites include coursework in biology, ecology, or environmental science. Boating experience and knowledge of juvenile salmon ID a plus. Internships are from 1-4 months between March and June 2010. Opportunities for graduate students and individual projects are available!
