The Seattle chapter of AWIS awards scholarships of $1000-$1500 in the fall of every year to undergraduate women who are entering their junior or senior year at a university in the state of Washington and are majoring in a science, math or engineering field. The 2011-2012 scholarship application is in the attached file. Please forward the application to your students who are eligible to apply. The application deadline is April 15.

Eligibility: Open to women who will be juniors or seniors at a four-year college or
university in the state of Washington in the Fall of 2011. Applicants must
have a declared major in the sciences, engineering or mathematics. Applicants shall
have exemplary grades, outstanding letters of recommendation, financial need, a record
of community service, and a strong interest in pursuing a career in the sciences,
engineering or mathematics.
Number Awarded: 4-6 scholarships per year (usually 30 – 40 applicants)
