Dear Undergrads -
This is a GREAT Scholarship program for students who will be juniors next year (or, it seems, students who have 2 years to complete their programs left after this academic year.)
We’ve had SAFS undergrads get this award the last 3 years (there are 50 students picked nationally) and it is truly one of the best for what you get (a tuition scholarship for up to 2 years plus a paid summer internship.) Definitely worth applying for if you have at least a 3.0.
Deadline is Jan 29th, but you need at least one letter of recommendation, so you should look at the website asap.
NOAA is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships to students majoring in disciplines related to oceanic and atmospheric science, research, or technology, and supportive of the purposes of NOAA’s programs and mission, e.g., biological, social and physical sciences; mathematics; engineering; and computer and information sciences.
